Thornton Hibs Vs Edinburgh College FC

A late pitch inspection gave the go ahead for the match on a heavy pitch in very cold and blustery weather conditions. After a bright start against the wind, the College fell behind to a powerful header from a corner early in the first half but despite some good football in the conditions, the first half ended with Thornton Hibs 1-0 ahead.

With the wind behind them in the second half, the College were unable to carve out any real quality chances and Thornton Hibs, who always looked dangerous on the break, eventually notched a second in the last quarter of the game to take the points with a 2-0 win.

The College continue their recent run of poor results although the return from injury of a number of big players in the second half of the season gives some some hope of a return to winning ways again soon.
